Lukehart Fellowship

The John Lukehart Public Policy Fellowship will provide research, study and advocacy on fair housing issues including discrimination enforcement, mobility, opportunity areas for housing choice voucher holders, integration / segregation issues in the region, fair housing trainings, and plicy related to fair housing rights. The fellow will work with CAFHA staff, board of directors, and member agencies.
CAFHA's goal is to raise $150,000 to support the first three years of the policy fellowship. Contributions to this fellowship are tax-deductible and can be made by contacting felloship@chicagoareafairhousing.org or downloading the attached brochure.
About John Lukehart
(1952-2007)
John was an active member of CAFHA, chair of the Oak Park Area Arts Council, former chair f the Community Relations Commission, and former executive director of the Leadreship Council for Metropolitan and Open Communities. John passed away in December of 2007 after a lenghty battle with cancer. For more on John, please read this article from CAFHA's newsletter.
